So this summer marks the 100 year anniversary of World War I. Today’s writing prompt invites you to imagine yourself back there, 100 years ago, as war breaks out. Imagine yourself as a different gender, class, or nationality, or all of the above. Write a letter, in character, to a loved one. What does this character think, feel, see, smell, taste, fear, and love? Then, ahem, body switch, and write a letter back. And, as always, if you like what you write, send it to us!
