Strip Away Writer’s Block with Burlesque Press!

Hi everyone – we just wanted to direct your attention to our newly revamped website.  Have you noticed?  We’re having a ball!  Quite literally.  This New Year’s, Burlesque Press will have officially launch, and we’re going to do it in style with a three-day extravaganza: the Hands On Literary Festival and Masquerade Ball.

The one and only nonfiction writer extraordinaire Dinty W. Moore will deliver the keynote, and we’ve got a host of other celebrated writers coming.  We hope you’ll join us for three days of feasty, feisty, book-friendly fun, including a masked ball with live band, dancing, and readings on New Year’s Eve!

You will also notice that we’ve announced two new writing contests.  The Hands On Creative Writing Contest is offering a free registration to the festival, a stipend, a featured reading, and publication.  And the DARK Contest is offering a registration waiver and publication (plus stipend and featured reading) to one of our upcoming 2014 retreats in either Poland or Scotland.

We’ll be posting more information on those retreats in the next week or two, so stay tuned.
