Greetings all! I hope you’re enjoying a lovely crisp fall. Today’s writing prompt is all about selecting a scene you love from a favorite work of literature and rewriting it YOUR way. Think there’s no way Darcy and Lizzie would ACTUALLY have ended up together? Write it. Think Juliet was too much her own person to have offed herself? Write it. Love the bullfight scenes in The Sun Also Rises so much you wish you were THERE? Write yourself into the scene. The point is to honor something you love, but to put your own stamp on it. Make it as long as it needs to be – you don’t have to stick to the length of the original piece.
